GEORGE, Utah (March 10, 2026) — America First Credit Union (AFCU) today opened a new branch in St. George, expanding access to financial services for members in Washington County and surrounding communities.

The new branch reflects America First’s continued investment in Southern Utah as the region experiences strong population and economic growth.

“As communities in Southern Utah continue to grow, we want to make sure our members have convenient access to the financial services and resources they need,” said Thayne Shaffer, president and CEO of America First Credit Union. “Opening the Desert Color Branch in St. George allows us to be part of that growth while continuing our commitment to serving members and supporting the local community.”
