America First Credit Union and Greater Nevada Credit Union enter into merger agreement

Nevada members to gain more convenient banking, expanded financial services and greater access in rural communities

OGDEN, Utah (August 24, 2026) — America First Federal Credit Union and Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) have entered into a merger agreement that will expand convenient banking and financial services for members throughout Nevada.

By bringing together complementary branch networks in northern and southern Nevada, the combined organization will provide greater access to products, services and financial guidance, especially in rural communities.

GNCU was founded in 1949 and is headquartered in Carson City, Nevada. It is a full-service credit union with more than 89,000 members across 13 branches, primarily located in northern Nevada. GNCU is committed to the credit union philosophy of people helping people, and to improving the communities it serves.

Upon completion of the merger, GNCU will operate as Greater Nevada: A Division of America First Credit Union. The merger is subject to customary regulatory requirements, approvals and closing conditions and is expected to be completed later this year.

The combined organization will continue to provide members with convenient, in-person banking and financial guidance, especially in rural communities, and give Greater Nevada’s members access to new products, services and opportunities.
