America First Credit Union Celebrates New Rexburg Branch With Community Day and Ribbon Cutting

Community celebration will feature food trucks, games, prizes and a live broadcast from 99.1 KUPI-FM

REXBURG, Idaho (Aug. 10, 2026) — America First Credit Union (AFCU) is celebrating the opening of its newly relocated and enhanced Rexburg branch with two upcoming events for community members, local partners, public officials and members of the media.

The new branch, located approximately 1.5 miles north of AFCU’s previous Rexburg location, was designed to better serve the financial needs of the city’s growing population.

AFCU will host a Community Celebration Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15. The free, public event will feature food trucks, games, prizes and family-friendly activities. Idaho country radio station 99.1 KUPI-FM will also broadcast live from the branch.

A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony will follow at 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4. Local partners, public officials and media representatives are invited to attend.

“Rexburg’s continued growth creates exciting opportunities for students, families and local businesses,” Senior Vice President Branch Administration Karey Thomas said. “This new branch reflects America First’s commitment to growing alongside the community and providing the personal guidance, convenient tools and trusted financial services our members need at every stage of life.”

Recognized as one of the nation’s fastest-growing small cities, Rexburg has experienced sustained population growth driven in part by its expanding student community. AFCU’s new branch is positioned to help young adults navigate their first major financial decisions, support individuals and families as they plan for the future and serve as a financial resource for area businesses.

New-member offers will be available through the Rexburg branch. AFCU representatives will also be available to discuss financial tools and resources for local students, families and businesses.
