America First Credit Union marked the grand opening of its newest branch in Surprise, Arizona, hosting an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Oct. 23, and a community celebration on Saturday, Oct. 24.

SURPRISE, Ariz. (Oct. 26, 2026) – America First Credit Union is continuing its expansion in Greater Phoenix with the opening of a new branch in Surprise on Monday, Oct. 19. The new location marks the credit union’s second branch to open in the West Valley this year, following the opening of its Glendale branch in July.

“We’re excited to expand America First’s presence in the growing West Valley and make financial services more accessible to members in Surprise,” said Thayne Shaffer, president and CEO of America First Credit Union. “Investing in Arizona is an important part of our continued growth, and we look forward to expanding our presence in the state while building lasting relationships with the communities we serve.”

Located at 13735 W. Bell Road in Surprise, the new branch offers a full range of financial services, including checking and savings accounts, loans, credit cards and other solutions designed to help members meet their financial goals. The opening reflects America First’s continued investment in Arizona and its commitment to providing convenient access to financial services for residents of the growing West Valley.

Designed with both convenience and connection in mind, the new Surprise branch offers a contemporary banking environment that prioritizes personal interaction and flexibility. Members can meet with team members in relaxed seating areas or use private offices for more in-depth financial conversations. Design details inspired by the surrounding Southwest give the space a local feel, while its adaptable layout can also support educational workshops and community gatherings.

To mark the opening, America First hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Oct. 23, followed by a community event on Oct. 24. Both events brought together community leaders, local partners and members to celebrate the new branch and welcome the Surprise community. Festivities included check presentations of $5,000 each to Dysart Unified School District and St. Mary’s Food Bank.

The new branch is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. For more information about America First Credit Union and its products and services, visit americafirst.com.
